Bike Perch

Bikes are great for getting from Point A to Point B but when they’re just sitting around they get more of a D-grade in my book. They take up floor space, don’t usually match the cushions or curtains, and they’re a hazard when you get up to pee in the middle of the night. Pittsburg-based ClankWorks designs elegant solutions for the “modern cyclotourist.” Their latest design is the perch, what they describe as “a piece of functional sculpture: useful when it’s holding your bicycle and beautiful when it’s not.” Using gravity and your bike’s wheel, the laminated plywood Perch suspends your cycle from any wall, while providing additional storage for your helmet, lock, jacket, and more.
