I’ve always loved cork as a place to pin inspirational pictures by my desk, as a reminder of a good bottle of wine, and as a lightweight heel option in summer shoes, but I’m suddenly noticing cork for its style and not just its practicality. Lots of designers have debuted pretty cork shoes and sandals for spring 2012 but Kate Spade’s metallic flecked cork flat with a pointed toe dipped in gold leather takes cork from humble to luxe. LOVE!
