Last year’s cut-out trend—whereby designers cut out patches of fabric to spotlight bits of flesh (often parts where we hide our Spanx or bra straps)—is not going to cut it out any time soon. It’s showing up in dresses, swimwear, and shoes, but my favorite application of this trend is in a blouse, where a cut out can show a little shoulder or back without being tacky. Emerson Thorpe’s silk blouse, with its rounded hem, cut-out shoulders, and dolman sleeves is classic and chic and so very wearable. Available in eight colors.

My first travel experience was winning a trip to Lourdes to push wheelchairs in a holy parade. I’ve since pushed sheep in Scotland, strollers in Euro Disney, clubbers in Spain, and my luck in Hungary!
